MARCH 16 LECTURE 12 When Did the Canon Get Finalized? DVD lecture by Bart D. Ehrman, Ph.D., Chairman of the Department of Religious Studies at the University of North Caroline at Chapel Hill. In this concluding lecture some of the books that nearly made it into the New Testament, such as Apocalypse of Peter, as well as some that did barely make it in, will be discussed. Who made these decisions and on what grounds? Suggested readings: Harry Gamble, The New Testament Canon: Its Making and Meaning This is the last lecture in this series.

MARCH 30 ”Getting To Know You” Sharing of information about where each of us have been and what we have done. Did you know we had an author in our group, that we have members who have lived in Germany, Alaska, Canada, and traveled to China, Israel, etc.?

The Tuesday Discussion Group meets the first and third Tuesday of each month from 2:30- 4:30.
